TO KCSE CANDIDATES OF 2016 AND PREVIOUS YEARS
PLACEMENT TO DIPLOMA COURSES FOR JANUARY 2018 INTAKE
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service is a State corporation established under the Universities Act, 2012 to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to universities and colleges, among other functions.
The Placement Board, during its 24th meeting held on September 28, 2017, approved a recommendation by stakeholders that the placement of students to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions be done twice a year, for January and September intakes.
The Placement Service therefore invites applications from qualified candidates for placement to diploma courses for the January 2018 intake. The online application portal will open on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 00.00 hours and close on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at midnight.
The January 2018 intake is especially meant to benefit candidates who sat for the KCSE examination in 2016 or earlier and would wish to pursue diploma courses in the TVET institutions as Government-sponsored students.
The minimum requirement for admission to diploma courses is an overall mean grade of C – (minus).
The revised placement criteria and other guiding information may be accessed through the Placement Service website www.kuccps.ac.ke. Enquiries may also be made by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 0723 954 927 / 0734 879 662.
