The Service is governed by the Placement Board which consist of thirteen members appointed by the cabinet secretary as follows:

Mr. John Muraguri

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Muraguri is the Chief Executive Officer of the Placement Service.

Prof. Mwenda Ntarangwi

Chief Executive Officer, CUE

Prof. Ntarangwi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission for University Education.

Mr. Charles Ringera

Chief Executive Officer, HELB

Mr. Ringera is the Chief Executive Officer of Higher Education Loans Board.

Mr. Edwin Tarno

Representing KATTI

Mr. Tarno is the Principal at the Rift Valley Technical Training Institute and the immediate former chairman of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI).

Dr. Kipkirui Langat

Director-General, TVETA

Dr. Langat is the Director-General of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).

Prof. Francis Aduol

Representing Public Universities

Prof. Aduol is the Vice-Chancellor of Technical University of Kenya. He was appointed to the Board on March 13, 2017 for a period of three years.

Prof. Mary Walingo

Representing Public Universities

Prof. Walingo is the Vice-Chancellor of Maasai Mara University. She was appointed to the Board on March 13, 2017 for a period of three years.

Prof. Mumo Kisau

Representing Private Universities

Prof. Kisau is the Vice-Chancellor of Scott University. He was appointed to the Board on March 13, 2017 for a period of three years.

Prof. Margaret Muthwii

Representing Private Universities

Prof. Muthwii is the Vice-Chancellor of Pan Africa Christian University. She was appointed to the Board on March 13, 2017 for a period of three years.

Mrs. Glory K. Mutungi

Representing KATTI

Mrs. Mutungi is the Vice-Chair of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) and the Principal at Nkabune Technical Training Institute.

Mr. Anthony Muriu

Alternate to the PS, National Treasury

Mr. Anthony Muriu is a Chief Economist and Head of the Central Planning and Project Monitoring Unit of the National Treasury. 

Mrs. Esther Karema Mutua

Alternate to the PS in charge of University Education

Mrs. Mutua joined the Ministry in September, 2015. Previously, she worked as a part-time and full-time lecturer at Mount Kenya University and Kenya Institute of Special Education, respectively.
