The objective of the career day was to guide students on various careers and give a general overview of the career world guided by the various choises they make in their Secondary school education. The career day also aimed at creating awareness of the transition of the joint admission board to KUCCPS.
Mrs Mercy Gichohi (The program cordinator) kicked off the career day by giving a general presesentation on careers. She then invited Mrs Rachel Kimani –The branch manager Kenya Institute of Management who gave a guideline on the various courses they offer, she was then followed by Mr. Morris from Kasneb and Mr. Njenga from ACCA.
Mr. Gichinga from kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service then proceeded by creating awareness on the establishment of KUCCPS as per the Universities act 2012, the functions of the body as mandated by the government, the placement policy and procedures as well as the significance of the Weighted cluster formula and perfomance Index in placement of students to various institutions and courses.
During the second session, the students got an opportunity to visit the various display desks and got an opportunity to interact with Kuccps members and also make inquiries.
