KUCCPS Bags Trophies at the Migori Ask Show 2017

MIGORI, Friday, October 13, 2017

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service stand has won trophies in three categories at the Migori Agricultural Society of Kenya Show.

The Placement Service stand was declared the best that promotes national cohesion and integration development; the best in youth activities, empowerment and capacity building; and the best in embracing information technology and communication system.

The awards were in recognition of the role of the central placement system in promoting equitable access to universities and colleges, which has enabled students to be admitted to higher learning institutions across the country regardless of their backgrounds.

The judges were also impressed by the online placement process and the automated system, which allow students to select courses and institutions from wherever they are using mobile phones.

The trophies were handed to Placement Service officers by the Migori County Executive Member for Roads and Public Works Moses Chamwada, who was representing Governor Okoth Obado during the opening ceremony on Friday. The show ends on Saturday.
