KUCCPS Expands as Four Professionals Join its Secretariat

Since it started operations in 2014, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), otherwise referred to as the Placement Service, has been operating with a lean staff. In order to serve the public better and further develop its structures, the Placement Service has recruited five professionals to join its secretariat, which is based in Nairobi.

These professionals bring in a wealth of experience and skills to the Secretariat. They were selected in a competitive process that attracted the interest of hundreds of highly qualified and competent applicants. The successful candidates reported early October 2015.

Mr. Maxwell Okoth Zange – Human Resource

Mr. Zange joins the Placement Service as a Human Resource and Administration Officer. Prior to joining the Placement Service, he worked in a similar capacity at the Kemri Wellcome Trust. Mr. Zange has also worked for various other public and private organisations, including the National Cereals and Produce Board. He boasts of 12 years’ experience in the field of human resources. Mr. Zange, a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management, holds a Master of Business Administration (Human Resources) and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, both from the University of Nairobi.

Ms. Faith Mawia Musya – Audit

Ms. Musya has been hired as the Internal Auditor at the Placement Service, having been an employee of the National Treasury as an auditor for five years.   She is a Bachelor of Education (Arts) and Master of Business Administration (Finance) graduate. She is also a Certified Public Accountant – Kenya and a full member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Mr. Paul Omondi Juma – Corporate Communication

Mr. Juma is the Corporate Communications Officer at the Placement Service. He previously worked for the Nation Media Group as a newspaper reporter and sub-editor for seven years, cumulatively. He will play an important role in coordinating communication and interactions with the Placement Service’s stakeholders. Mr. Juma holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Arts).

Mr. Dennis Rama Kinyanjui – ICT

Mr. Kinyanjui joins the Placement Service as a Database Administrator and Developer. He has worked for various other organisations as a consultant in software development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He has also attained various IT certifications, including CompTIA, Linux+ and Oracle 11g Administration.
