Results of the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination of 2024
were released on January 9, 2025.
What next for successful candidates?
- Application for placement to Artisan (Level 4), Craft (Level 5), Diploma (Level 6) and Degree courses will begin soon.
- Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is preparing to open the online application portal students.kuccps.net for the 2024 KCSE students whose results were released.
- When the application portal opens, the 2024 KCSE students will be able to log in and apply for courses.
- KUCCPS will announce the start of the application through the mass media, its website www.kuccps.net and social media pages.
What are the minimum requirements for admission to various levels?
- Artisan/Level 4: KCSE Mean Grade of E
- Craft/Level 5: KCSE Mean Grade of D and Above
- Diploma/Level 6: KCSE Mean Grade of C – and Above
- Degree: KCSE Mean Grade of C+ and Above
- Some courses have additional subject requirements. The information will be published on the KUCCPS portal when it opens for application.
- For degree programmes, cut-off points and applicants’ weighted cluster points will also be a factor. These will also be displayed on the portal.
Currently, which applications are ongoing on the KUCCPS Portal?
- Application for January 2025 intake in TVET institutions. This targets KCSE candidates of 2023 or earlier years.
- Transfer applications for students placed in universities and colleges in the previous years.
- The applications are running concurrently and will end on January 17, 2025.
