KUCCPS

Placement

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) coordinates the placement of students to universities, teacher training colleges, national polytechnics, Kenya Medical Training College, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes and other institutions of higher learning.

Applicant Eligibility

To apply for placement to university or college, a person must: 

  1. Be a Kenyan Citizen. (Exception: Non-Kenyan Citizens are eligible for placement to Diploma in Primary Teacher Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education programmes, as well as Kenya Medical Training College programmes.)
  2. Have sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examination 
  3. Meet the minimum requirements to apply for placement for degree, diploma, certificate and artisan courses
  4. For degree courses candidates of the year preceding the selection are given first priority.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree : C+ and above
  • Diploma/Level 6: C and C -
  • Certificate/Level 5: D+ and D
  • Artisan/Level 4: D - and E

Placement Criteria

  1. Only candidates who apply are considered for placement in the respective programmes applied for.
  2. Candidates must meet the minimum admission requirements as published on the KUCCPS Student’s Portal 

Placement is done on merit and an approved Affirmative Action Criteria (Gender, Persons with Disabilities and Marginalised Regions) is applied to enhance access to higher education.

Applications for placement are done online through the Students Portal https://students.kuccps.net/. Keep checking the KUCCPS website, social media and mainstream media for updates on application dates.
