KUCCPS Partners with the 97th Kenya Music Festival to Promote Career Awareness and Artistic Growth
Meru County, August 2025
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is proud to partner with the 97th edition of the Kenya Music Festival, currently taking place in Meru County under the theme: “Enhancing the Creative Economy through Artistic Expression for Sustainable Development.”
The festival, which runs until August 16, 2025, is being hosted across three key institutions: Meru School, Kaaga Girls High School, and Meru Teachers College. This national event has drawn thousands of talented learners from across the country who are showcasing their artistic skills through music, drama, and cultural performances.
As part of its commitment to support and empower students, KUCCPS is on the ground providing vital services to learners, parents, and guardians. These include:
- Career guidance and mentorship to help students make informed decisions about their academic and professional paths.
- Advisory on placement matters, including information on courses, institutions, application timelines, and entry requirements.
Through this partnership, KUCCPS aims to complement the festival’s focus on creativity by highlighting the numerous career opportunities within the creative economy, including music, performing arts, media, and technology.
KUCCPS encourages all attendees including students, teachers, parents/guardians and the general members of the public to take advantage of its presence at the festival to learn more about higher education and training opportunities across universities and TVET institutions in Kenya.
As the music and cultural celebrations continue, KUCCPS remains committed to nurturing talent and building pathways to sustainable development through education and career empowerment.
This initiative reflects KUCCPS’s broader mission of ensuring equitable access to career information and higher education for all Kenyan students.
