KUCCPS Opens Application for Kenya Medical Training College Programmes, September 2026 Intake
Nairobi, July 24, 2026 – Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened application for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) programmes. The application system will remain open for 21 days, until August 11, 2026.
The application targets Form Four leavers seeking to enrol in KMTC’s diploma and certificate courses for the academic year starting in September 2026.
KCSE holders from the year 2000 to 2025 are eligible to apply through the KUCCPS student portal students.kuccps.ac.ke.
For this intake, KMTC has approved admission vacancies in 34 medical programmes, 24 of which are at diploma and 10 at certificate levels. The diploma programmes include Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, and Diploma in Pharmacy.
Other available programmes are Certificate in Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Certificate in Community Health Assistant, Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician, Certificate in Health Insurance Management, Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology, Certificate in Medical Engineering, Certificate in Mortuary Science, Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics, Certificate in Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Certificate in Public Health, Diploma in Community Health and Diploma in Community Oral Health.
Others are Diploma in Dental Technology, Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology, Diploma in Health Counselling, Diploma in Health Insurance Management, Diploma in Health Promotion, Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, Diploma in Medical Engineering, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Diploma in Medical Social Work, Diploma in Mortuary Science, Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, Diploma in Occupational Therapy, Diploma in Optometry, Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology, Diploma in Orthopedic and Trauma Medicine, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Diploma in Public Health, Diploma in Radiography and Imaging, and Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
“We invite all eligible KCSE holders interested in pursuing a medical course to apply before the deadline of August 11, 2026,” said Dr. Agnes Wahome, the Chief Executive Officer of KUCCPS.
For assistance, applicants can visit any KMTC campus, KUCCPS offices in Nairobi, or any of the 59 Huduma Centres located across the country.
In tune with the clarion call to leave no student behind, KUCCPS is encouraging all eligible Form Four leavers to apply.
Meanwhile, KUCCPS continues to receive late applications for degree programmes from Form Four leavers of 2022 to 2025 who missed previous applications, as well as inter-institutional transfer (IIT) applications from those placed to various institutions this year.
The late applications are being processed instantly and is a continuous application, while the deadline for IIT is August 14, 2026.
