APPLICATION FOR PLACEMENT OF STUDENTS TO TVET INSTITUTIONS SEPTEMBER 2024 INTAKE

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal is open for applications to TVET institution, September 2024 intake. The application targets qualified KCSE holders from 2000 to 2023.

Application Instructions

  1. Access the Student’s Portal using the link students.kuccps.net or through the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke.
  2. Click the Login tab and input your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year and Password in the provided slots. Your password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number.
  3. Once logged in, click “Programmes” to view available courses and their minimum requirements. Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet minimum requirements. 
  4. Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes.
  5. To apply, click the “Application/Revision” tab then “Apply Now”. 
  6. Enter the Programme Codes in the provided form, arranging then in your order of priority. 
  7. After entering the programme codes for the courses that you are applying for, click Submit.
  8. On submitting, you will be required to pay Ksh1,500 and the portal will display the payment instructions. Follow the payment instructions.
  9. After paying, enter the Payment Ref. in the provided slot and submit.
  10. Your successful application will appear as “Active Application” on the Dashboard.

Payment Procedure

  1. On clicking the Submit button in the online application form, a pop-up will be displayed with a “Click Here to Pay” link.
  2. Click on the link and you will be redirected to a page with eCitizen payment instructions.
  3. Choose your preferred payment method from the provided options and proceed to pay as provided.
  4. For M-PESA, click on the relevant button and the payment details will be displayed including Business Number (222222), a Payment Reference Code and the required amount.
  5. Use the M-Pesa Menu on your phone and make the payment following the provided instructions. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send. 
  6. Go back to the “Application/Revision” window and use the eCitizen Payment Reference Code to submit your application. (The same Ref. Code will be required for any subsequent changes to your application. You are advised to retain it.) DO NOT use MPESA transaction code. 
  7. After you have successfully paid and submitted, the system will display a message indicating that the application was successful. 
  8. On the Dashboard, your successful application will be displayed as “Active Application”.
