Nairobi, Thursday, June 23, 2022

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has been recognised for its innovation in student placement.

Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua presented the 1st Runners Up Award (Innovation for Inclusive and Equitable Service Delivery in Kenya Category) at the end of the Africa Public Service Day National Celebrations at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.

Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome received the award on behalf of KUCCPS, which participated in the celebrations under the Ministry of Education.

The recognition was a result of KUCCPS use of technology in undertaking the placement of students to universities and colleges, including deploying a course selection and placement application App for students.

KUCCPS is the government agency mandated to coordinate the placement of the government-sponsored students to universities and colleges, disseminate information on available programmes, collect and retain data on student placement to universities and colleges, develop career guidance programmes for students and advise the Government on matters relating to university and college placement.
